RED LETTER CHURCHES

Faith without the political aftertaste.

Just a steady commitment to Jesus, His teachings, and the way of love.

Not perfect. Not political.
Not built on fear, power, or finger-pointing.

This map highlights churches that—imperfectly but intentionally—center their faith, teaching, and community around Jesus and His way of love, as shared and submitted by people who know them firsthand.

What is a “Red Letter” Church?

A Red Letter Church isn’t defined by style, politics, or popularity—but by a consistent commitment to follow the words and way of Jesus, especially when that path is uncomfortable or costly.

Churches highlighted here tend to be shaped by the following convictions:

  • Jesus sets the tone — His life and teachings guide preaching, decisions, and direction

  • The teachings of Jesus are taken seriously — not just believed, but practiced

  • Belonging matters more than image — people are welcomed and included, not treated as projects

  • Discipleship matters more than performance — transformation over attendance or production value

  • Power is handled carefully — leadership reflects humility and service, not control or celebrity

  • Politics don’t get the final word — issues are filtered through Christlikeness, not partisanship

  • Courage outweighs comfort — faithfulness is chosen even when it risks approval or growth

These churches aren’t perfect—but they are intentionally oriented toward Jesus, not culture, fear, or power.

Submitting a Church

This map grows through shared experience—not marketing or official church statements.

Churches may be submitted by people who currently attend or have previously attended them. Submissions should reflect what you’ve personally observed over time, not hopes, intentions, or reputation.

All submissions are reviewed for consistency with the Red Letter criteria. Inclusion on the map is not guaranteed.
